More PRC for me

Hey Youth Summit 2012 Alumni,

Micah was right...volunteering is addictive. 1 day after the end of the Youth Summit and I already want more. I was wondering if anyone was interested in getting together and going to the PRC sometimes and helping out.

Also, there are many activities and volunteer opportunities at Hands On Atlanta where we could all get together and help out. If anyone is interested in maybe organizing something, write a comment on this blog post or:

It still might be possible to find some weekday shifts at the PRC this summer. If you need an adult, Chris, Sarah or I would be willing to stand in if we can make the date work- just let us know. Monali, you have the list with everyone's emails- if you can send out an email with everyone's address included, you can all communicate. Also feel free to use this blog. Youth Summit on Hunger and Poverty

Each year the Atlanta Community Food Bank hosts a Youth Summit on hunger and poverty for metro-Atlanta high school students, who gain in-depth knowledge about hunger and poverty issues. Students participate in field trips, service projects, and learn the different community and governmental responses to hunger and poverty. The Summit empowers them to take action, helping them to identify, plan and initiate an action step against hunger within their own community. This blog is a space where participants can share, reflect and chronicle their journey and where Summit alumni, friends, and family can encourage (and be encouraged!) them to be agents of change in their communities.
