Genesis Shelter & Cooking

Today was sooo much fun. The kids at the shelter were absolutely adorable, but their stories were so sad. I think everyone who I went with would agree that we were touched by just playing with them on the playground or helping them make pizzas. As Ali said earlier these kids are so oblivious to what their life really is like. Seeing the shelter, too, I think was just amazing. They are doing so much to help these people by providing resources like housing, nurses, and food! It is just so inspiring. The family who was at the door asking for food made me sad. Michelle (the head cook) said, "It's reality" and it's true. It really is shocking to think about. I had such a great time.

Cooking. Oh boy. Hectic, but totally worth the chaos. It was so much fun. I was not extremely excited about doing it, but now that I actually am, I cannot wait until Friday! Guess who has the best mechanically separated turkey meatballs in the south? That's right. Marissa and Sarah! Haha. Anyway, I'm really enjoying this with all of you. Now if you excuse me, I am going to do a couple things and go to bed. Early... See you bright and early tomorrow morning!

LOL! This will surely be the title of your dish on the published menu!

"Marissa and Sarah's best mechanically seperated Turkey Meatballs in the South!"

Love it!
