Georgia Advocacy Links

Big thanks going out to Jennifer Owens, Development Director at Georgia Organics, and State Representative Stacey Abrams for touring us around the State Capital building today and giving us a behind the scenes and very hands on look at the importance of being involved in the legislative process as advocates for the issues we are passionate about. And big props to the Youth Summit participants who took the opportunity to ENGAGE the issue, EDUCATE each other, and be EMPOWERED to work for change (Whoa! - who sneaked that mission statement in there?) - you guys were awesome!

Here's a handy list of links to the different resources we mentioned throughout the day:

Georgia General Assembly
Georgia House of Representatives, House Live Broadcast (when in session)
Georgia State Senate, Senate Live Broadcast (when in session)
Lawmakers on Georgia Public Broadcasting
Project Vote Smart

Again, a huge thank you to Jennifer Owens and Representative Abrams for investing their time and energy in the lives of our Youth Summit participants!
